Welcome!
We wanted to share some updates planned for release to the platform! Reasonable Risk will be inconsistently available during this update on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 starting at 5 PM Central Time.
New Features and Improvements
Color Control – Many items within the application use colors to differentiate risk levels. In addition to changing the default risk level colors, Clients will have the ability to customize the colors used to depict risk levels.
Risk Management Efficiencies – This release introduces process automations that help client’s take credit for completing remediation work by prompting to close associated risks as well as cleaning up outstanding tasks upon project completion.
AI Driven Support – The Reasonable Risk Support and Training Site is continuously updated with new content related to application functionality, but did you know that there is also content that addresses governance and risk management processes and education? You can use the embedded support bot to find and answer many of your questions about the application as well as more complex concepts like ‘How do I know governance is working?’ or ‘What is the acceptable level of risk?’
Reasonable Risk Application Updates
We will review the latest enhancements that are coming to production. While there are always additional, minor updates, these are the ones that are the most visible. Beyond these enhancements, a number of defects are also remediated.
Latest Key Changes.
| Risk Scoring Levels | Customization of risk score range colors |
Risk score ranges are defined to identify escalating levels of risk and are each associated with a color; these colors are used throughout the application to easily identify general risk levels. This enhancement changes the default colors of each risk score range and also allows the client to choose their own colors. Users will see the these changes throughout the application: |
| Tasks | Risk and Task status automation |
Reasonable Risk allows clients to create relationships between Tasks and Risks within a Remediation Project to enable users to associate a reduction in risk with remediation activities. Until now, the user was required to review the list of Project Risks to determine if a Risk might be closed after completing a Task. This enhancement creates efficiencies by prompting the user to take action on a related task or risk when one or the other is closed. When completing a task, the application will prompt the user and close associated risks if all associated tasks have been completed. When closing a Remediation Project, the application will notify the user about outstanding open tasks and will complete these Tasks as part of closing the Project. |
| Likelihood Calculation | Update of Threat Index version |
Reasonable Risk utilizes data from the Veris Community Database (VCDB) to help derive likelihood. This data is integrated into Reasonable Risk through the Threat Index. This data is periodically updated to reflect new information in the VCDB. Clients will be able to utilize the new version of the Threat Index when a new risk register is developed while maintaining the integrity of their existing risk registers that utilize an older version of the Threat Index. |
| Remediation Projects | Project Name validation update | Clients will now be allowed to reuse project names across scopes. Previously duplicate project names were not allowed. |
| Remediation Projects | Project Risk status update | When a Remediation Project is deleted, all associated risks will have their status set to ‘Open’ rather than remaining as ‘In Progress’. |
| User Profile | Default “Assigned to Task” e-mail notification | New client users will automatically have the “Assigned to Task” e-mail notification selected in their profile. |
To Do:
• Check your user profile and enable your “Assigned to Task” e-mail notifications if you have not already done so.
• Try out the support chat bot, ask it everything you ever wanted to know about risk management, governance, and duty of care.
